When longtime clients asked SRQ Interior Design to first create the interiors of their new three-story home on Longboat Key, we were honored to be part of their journey once again.
With a new build, every architectural detail presents an opportunity—and we saw one in the stairwell.
A stairwell is not simply a way to get from one floor to another. It is an introduction to the spaces beyond and an opportunity to create a moment of beauty in the everyday experience of moving through a home.
Our vision incorporated custom millwork along both sides of the stairwell, complemented by elegant railings and a carefully designed ceiling. Recessed lights were positioned precisely within the ceiling millwork, creating a beautifully balanced glow. On one side, we integrated striking gold-and-crystal-ball sconces, while floor lighting added another layer of illumination and drama.
The result is a stairwell that feels intentional, architectural, and luxurious—rather than something that was simply added to the plan.
At SRQ Interior Design, we believe exceptional interiors happen when creative vision and skilled craftsmanship work hand in hand. We collaborate closely with talented builders and other skilled trades to bring every detail together seamlessly.
