SRQ Interior Design was thrilled to be invited to update our traditional client’s Sarasota dining room. Their formal dining room had beautiful red and cream striped chairs but the deep red walls needed brightening, the red embroidered curtains needed freshening, the crystal chandelier needed a make-over and the faux plants needed a boost.

After painting the walls a soft cream color and transforming all the white wood trims to black the room took on an entirely new look. Even the two wine racks got a serious coat of black paint!

Our artist Mary Fragapane from Wall Wizardry hand painted the oval crackle mirror frame from white to black with gold edges, and we swapped the chandelier white lampshades to black with gold linings. Our sewing room customized beautiful cream duppioni curtain panels with black striped trim, and our trusted floral designer created a large magnolia centerpiece.

We are awaiting custom gilded mirrors for behind the black tapered wall candle sconces, black and cream striped lumbar pillows and a soft round rug.

After installing a beautiful set of four botanical framed etchings, the room has transformed from a holiday looking space to a brighter and more welcoming Florida dining room.

We have made our long term traditional clients very happy!
