The Rules of the Entry: Styling an Inviting Foyer

The components that make up a graceful entry foyer, no matter your style, don’t change: A console or credenza along one wall (with or without storage), a rug that fits well in the space (not just a little mat), lighting that is significant (avoid dry recessed lighting) and statement wall art. If you have a dramatic mirror on one side, it will reflect your art on the opposite side. Remember to add organic elements to create a lived-in vibe and above all your entry should reflect the mood of the home.

You can take your entry foyer design to the next level by adding wall millwork, wallpaper or accent paint color to welcome your guests into your home. Be sure to create an entry that reflects the color, feel and style of your home.
