This Sarasota great room had good bones — but it lacked soul. The ceiling was plain, the TV wall had minimal presence, and the back of the sofa sat there doing absolutely nothing. We saw a completely different room waiting to emerge.

We started at the top: custom designed ceiling millwork added architecture and drama the space had been missing, anchored by a statement chandelier that commands the entire room. On the feature wall, the geometric white-and-gold wallpaper became the canvas — then we hand-applied golden nailhead trim directly to it for texture, depth, and a touch of unexpected glamour.

“Every decision — from the flat arched TV surround to the accessories on the credenza — was made to create one cohesive, considered story.”
The flat arched surround framing the TV and the flanking side doors were all accented in a soft, deeper neutral that did two things beautifully: it made those doors visually recede so your eye goes exactly where we want it, and it gave the entire feature wall a gallery-worthy sense of intentional design.

Because no one should have to stare at the back of a sofa, a black metal console table was placed behind it, flanked by two sculptural hammered-metal floor lamps — functional, layered, and finished. Curated accessories completed the vignette. On the tv credenza, balanced styling on each side of the TV mixed black, gold, and warm wood tones — the home’s signature palette — without ever repeating itself.
