A powder room is one of the best rooms in a home to go all out with designer drama. Because it’s small and usually without a shower, it’s the ideal place to envelope the visitor with dramatic design details.

We were given a clean slate in the newly constructed powder room of our Sarasota clients whose taste ran high, modern and elegant, with a touch of glamour.

The ideal choice was to cover the walls and ceiling with breathtaking wallpaper. To protect it from sink splashes we affixed a custom  crystal clear glass backsplash with two oversized gold grommets. The polished silver fixtures played nicely with the black, gold and silver patterned wallpaper. Mixing metallics is a great way to tone down gold and add warmth to silver. 

The result? A powder room that stuns, with dramatic wallpaper wrapping the walls and ceiling, a custom crystal-clear glass backsplash with oversized gold grommets to protect against splashes, and polished silver fixtures that play beautifully with the black, gold, and silver palette. Mixing metals here added warmth and depth, turning an all-white room into a glamorous retreat.
