When our clients purchased their brand-new furnished waterfront condo it was filled with pieces that didn’t suit their elevated style. The small space shared a living room barely too tight to comfortably accommodate a dining area, and they were left wondering how to make it all fit.
The “before” pic told the story clearly. A space with no defined purpose, no sense of intention, and absolutely no dining elegance. Just leftover space, waiting for direction.
We saw an opportunity. By sourcing a narrow dining table scaled precisely to the footprint, we carved out a gorgeous, fully functional dining area within the great room, without sacrificing flow or comfort. Our design direction became organic modern with a coastal soul: elegant, breathable, and grounded in symmetry to create a cohesive, intentional space.
A stunning straw chandelier now anchors the table as a natural, textural focal point, while battery-operated wall sconces flank the space, casting warm ambient light without the need for additional wiring or electrical work. To further personalize the design, we custom-framed a pair of mirrored artworks, reinforcing the symmetry of the room while echoing its soft, layered color story. A plush area rug softened the footprint underfoot, and flowing blue curtain panels completed the coastal palette, tying the entire great room together into one cohesive vision.
What was once a narrow space in the great-room, is now a refined dining destination, proof that even the tightest spaces can hold real elegance with the right eye and the right plan.
