The master bedroom update was one of the many rooms our Italianophile Venice Florida clients tasked us with designing. They bought a beautiful home that needed a major update, including new floors, bathrooms, two kitchens and wall and trim color, only to name a few details!
The existing master bedroom had no wall drama nor window treatments, yet their Jacobean inspired bedroom furniture had a ton of beauty and personality.
Our design solution was to install framed navy grasscloth on the wall behind the bed and nightstands, and drop oil rubbed bronze light pendants over each of the small nightstands. Our talented faux finish artist Mary Fragapane from Wall Wizardry painted the textured wood frame finish perfectly to match the new wood floors.
Next we had custom white linen curtains with navy Greek key ribbon trim installed, and painted all walls white, and trims a soft taupe to create contrast. (The original was yellow walls and white trims which did nothing to enhance their home.)
The end result is an inviting, uncluttered master bedroom which speaks vintage yet is fresh and updated with crisp whites and navy tones, set against rich natural woods.
Our team was thrilled to once again please our elegant clients!
