Main Bathroom Small To Big Shower Transformation: How to Carve out Space!

If you are lucky enough to have space behind a shower wall, consider cutting through the wall and add a shower bench to create the feel of a much bigger space. This won’t increase the floor footprint but will widen the shower dramatically.

We cut through to the interior garage wall, built a white quartz top shower bench, installed horizontal 12”x24” wall tile to the ceiling, and coordinated guitar-pick marble floor tile. Check out how much wider the shower appears!

Two wall niches with white quartz shelves easily fit on that larger wall width, back-accented with the new guitar-pick floor tile. We updated the shower door with a much taller swinging door, with a matching length towel bar inside and out, (which hid the peg-ends of the towel bar.)
