SRQ Interior Design was thrilled to be asked to design our client’s new single family duplex home in Sarasota, after successfully staging their previous home that sold in mere days!

While designing into some of their dining room furniture, we knew we had to fill the vertical and horizontal space as well as honor their dramatically high ceiling. The first solution was to add a huge hammered silver orb pendant over the dining table and add wall drama of a large arched paneled mirror. We balanced each side of the mirror with two whimsical animal portraits which touched their funny bones. To fill in the horizontal floor space around their credenza, we added two gold wire white cushioned chairs and a tree at each corner which created balance and symmetry. Mixing neutrals colors of metallic gold and silver, with matte black and wood browns with touches of natural plant greens created a natural environment. Our philosophy is to bring nature and organic elements into the home to create a warm and welcoming space.

The finishing touches of all new dining chair cushions, accessories and newly framed portraits of their own adorable dogs completed the dining room and personalized their space.

The next project was to give the home curb appeal! We loved balancing the entry with two black wrought iron benches facing each other, with a lively colorful outdoor rug between them. The finishing touches were new plantings, colorful whimsical outdoor accent pillows and a 3-paneled bas-relief wall art for over one bench.
